For a Dungeon Settlers settlement problem, follow the blocked action: get the first Cogwheel for research, trace the research needed by a recipe, make rooms register, or restore food and hauling. Start with the matching guide below before adding buildings. The resource guide now includes container-capacity checks and the camping research path.

Separate an unlock from a working production chain

A research node opens a building or recipe; you still need its station, inputs, worker, and access. Check those in order when a project stalls.

For example, Clay for a Kiln and the Metal Processing research path are separate requirements. The research guide gives the combined book budget so you can avoid gathering materials for a station you cannot yet unlock.

Fix the current food and work bottleneck

v0.4.29 improves hauling and work-position handling, fixes waiting after switching crafting modes, and makes food's spoilage display reflect its container. Use these changes to choose a check: container capacity and permissions for unhauled items, queue mode for stalled crafting, and food permissions for a hungry resident.

These practical checks are in the linked guides. If a room is recognized but the worker is idle, investigate the job before spending on another room tier.

Prepare the next expedition

After restoring the missing supply, equip and feed the departing members, check their carrying room, and use the Expedition Guide. Normal-floor changes keep stay penalties progressing, so a working camping chain should support the planned run length.
